The Traveller and the Angel

A man walked alone through a vast desert, his head held high with pride. He believed his determination alone would carry him across the endless sands. The sun burned fiercely above him, and with every step his thirst grew stronger. His strength faded, his confidence weakened, and his spirit began to sink. Exhausted, he stumbled, almost collapsing onto the scorching earth.

Yet he refused to surrender.

Just then, a figure appeared in the distance.

To the weary traveller, the stranger looked like an angel. In those gentle eyes he saw truth, sincerity, and a calm beauty that brought peace to his restless soul.

The angel offered him water.

The traveller hesitated.

"I promised myself," he said, "that no matter how little water awaited me at home, I would drink only from my own vessel."

The angel smiled warmly.

"This water is yours," he said. "I like you enough to share it with you. Walk beside me. Do not carry guilt."

The traveller finally accepted a sip.

The moment the water touched his lips, it felt divine. It was unlike anything he had ever tasted. It did not merely quench his thirst—it awakened something deep within him.

From that day, he walked beside the angel, believing they were companions.

But whenever the traveller opened his hands in trust, the angel would place only a single drop into his palm before stepping away. The traveller would move closer, hoping for more, but the angel would take another step back and offer only another drop.

With every drop, the traveller's thirst grew instead of fading.

Whenever he tried to distance himself, the angel would gently say, "Stay. One day, I will give you the whole spring."

So the traveller stayed.

His hope grew.

His love grew.

His thirst became unbearable.

One day, the traveller searched the angel's eyes for answers.

The angel looked at him and said, "My time with you has ended. I have been summoned to another soul who needs saving."

The traveller stood speechless.

"If you had to leave," he whispered, "why did you teach my heart to thirst for what you would never give?"

The angel offered no answer.

He simply turned and disappeared into the horizon.

The traveller remained alone in the desert once more—only now, his thirst was no longer for water.

It was for the promise that had never been fulfilled.

And from that day forward, he carried one lesson above all others:

If you choose to enter someone's life, do so with care.We are all living, feeling human beings. Handle another person's heart as gently as you would wish your own to be handled.Dont promise and show someone an enchanting world if you dont have capacity to keep it.
