 **The Unexpected Tea Ceremony**

Life in Dimapur has its unique charm, especially as the wife of a dedicated Assam Rifles officer. One particular experience stands out, blending amusement with valuable life lessons.

One early morning, I decided to take a walk through the nearby village, hoping to immerse myself in the local culture. As I strolled past traditional bamboo houses, I noticed a small group of villagers gathered around a table. Curious, I approached them and was warmly invited to join their tea ceremony.

Excited but slightly nervous, I took a seat. The host, an elderly gentleman with a warm smile, began the ceremony by pouring tea from a beautifully decorated pot. As he handed me a cup, he began speaking in rapid-fire Nagamese, the local dialect. Not understanding a word, I smiled and nodded politely.

He then gestured for me to drink the tea. I took a sip and immediately felt my mouth on fire. The tea was infused with an incredibly spicy local herb! Trying to keep my composure, I gulped it down, my eyes watering. The villagers watched, their expressions a mix of curiosity and amusement.

Just as I thought the worst was over, the host refilled my cup, and everyone around the table followed suit. Determined to be polite, I drank cup after cup, each one hotter than the last. By the fourth cup, my tolerance had run out. I gently set my cup down and tried to convey my appreciation with a series of hand gestures and smiles.

The villagers burst into laughter, and the elderly host patted my back. In broken English, he said, "Madam, you brave. But next time, say no if too hot!"

Later that day, as I reflected on the morning's adventure, I gleaned two crucial life lessons:

1. **Embrace the Unexpected**: Living in a new place often brings unexpected challenges and experiences. Embracing these moments with an open mind and a willingness to adapt makes the journey more rewarding and memorable.

2. **Know Your Limits**: It’s important to be polite and respectful, but also to recognize and honor your own limits. There’s no shame in admitting when something is too much to handle. True hospitality is understanding and accommodating, not just enduring.

The spicy tea ceremony became a favorite tale to share with friends and family, a reminder of the joy and richness found in stepping out of one’s comfort zone and the importance of knowing when to say "no, thank you."

EMUSING ANECDOTES

 *A Humbling Experience in Dimapur*

Life in Dimapur in Assam Rifles has always been full of surprises. One sunny afternoon, I decided to explore the local market. With its vibrant colors and bustling atmosphere, the market was a delightful maze of stalls selling everything from fresh produce to handcrafted souvenirs.

As I wandered through the narrow lanes, I stumbled upon a small stall selling traditional Naga jewelry. Intrigued, I picked up a beautiful necklace adorned with intricate designs and asked the elderly vendor for the price. She quoted a price that seemed exorbitantly high. Remembering my freind’s advice on bargaining, I put on my best negotiation face and began to haggle.

After several rounds of back-and-forth, we finally settled on a price that I thought was a steal. Feeling quite pleased with myself, I walked away, only to hear the vendor and her neighboring stall owners burst into laughter. Curious, I turned back, and the elderly woman cheerfully called out, "Madam, you bargained so hard, but you still paid the tourist price!"

Embarrassed but amused, I couldn’t help but laugh along with them. As I returned home, I realized two important life lessons:

1. *Respect Local Wisdom*: The incident reminded me that locals always know best. They are aware of the going rates and often know when someone is new to the area. Instead of trying to outsmart them, it's sometimes better to seek their guidance and trust their knowledge.

2. *Embrace Humility*: Living in a new place comes with its share of learning curves. Embracing these moments with humility and a sense of humor makes the experience richer and more enjoyable. It's okay to make mistakes; they often lead to the best stories and lessons.

That day, not only did I walk away with a beautiful necklace, but also with a newfound appreciation for the wisdom and warmth of the local community.

SHADOW

 Last night when I were roaming around my quater with my son.There wasn't street light availability on road.He was keep walking in a mid of road steadily and confidently but took my shadow in his vision.The time my shadow merged in shadows of tree or other quaters. He stopped and look behind.It was a beautiful and heart-warming experience that someone relying on me so fondly.

We all look this kind of shadow in our life.The day we trapped in darkness of life.We look behind to see our back.To see who is holding our T-shirt so that we may not stumble in path and got hurt.

People are lucky who has someone to hold them and accountable for their correction of  actions.Those patiencely listen you and believe in your come back.If you are only surrounded by these big dark trees in dark time and found nobody around just hold yourself tight and look for your own shadow. Definitely, there will be time when your shadow merges in shadow of darkness of surroundings but in time of loosing yourself always remember there are some people who's life relying on you .Accept your emotions and be guide of yourself. How hard life is keep throwing at you but yes,Slowly and steadily holding hand of your own shadow you surpass all these hurdles. Dear me,don't loose yourself.

Inner Voice!!

 

The voice one inside,

The one that whispers,

Emotions overpowers,

Sometimes that voice isn't crystal clear,

Don't let it drown in noisy world,

It says always be on righteous path whatever happens!!!!!

 In starting of day and in last minute of day I always pray to God.Today I prayed if I ever worshiped you God from full devotion than please God this faith & trust doesn't convert in bitter memories. Please God make others understand the reality.Give strength and a beautiful future in their life.Don't make unrealistic decisions and work on purpose.

मधुर प्रतीक्षा ही जब इतनी, प्रिय तुम आते तब क्या होता?

PERSONALLITY!!

 "Personality" a curious word in which every human is interested. What kind of person and character is carried by someone is denoted personlity of individual.

  Appearance, voice tone,posture,dressing sense,interests as music,game,tech  exploration choice of videos and movies,food choices .Hidden exhibits are  handwriting, humor ,self -esteem,fight & flight machenism.

        Mainly it includes characteristics and behavior that a person's understanding and adjustment to situations in life.

    More over it includes intersets ,drives,values,self-concept,abilities and emotional patterns. 

  What do decides the criteria of personlity?It's individual assessment, reasoning,genetic aspects,IQ,Social and cultural context of spend life.

 Where as social learning is main decisive effects of situations in triggering and controlling aggression.As some are friendly, others aggressive; some are timid, others bold.

Some make careful decisions whereas others are broadly and in blur distinctions take decisions only to feel pleasurable.It's a pattern in which way they receive and respond to the information and situation.

So make careful distinctions between stimuli and trigger with preferring narrow ones for shape your personality and character. As someone said "Character is formed, not by laws, commands, and decrees, but by quiet influence, unconscious suggestion and personal guidance."
